Our Pastors

Pastor Elias Salcedo Riverhead
Roberto Elías Salcedo’s life journey began with his birth in Michigan on December 20, 1957, leading to his relocation to Puerto Rico in 1974, where he accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior and was baptized in water by Pastor José Rivera. Subsequently, in the town of Adjuntas, he met young Daisy Rodríguez Feliciano, whom he married on December 18, 1976. Together with his wife, Daisy Salcedo, he was blessed with four children: Elías, Enoc, Eliseo, and Eli Amner.

In February 1985, the Salcedos moved to New York, where his call to ministry began. He served for 10 years in his local church as a teacher, Sunday school superintendent, usher, deacon, church general secretary, and assistant pastor. He enrolled in the Bible Institute in 1989 and graduated with honors in 1993. In 1994, a need arose in the town of Southold, NY, where Roberto Salcedo was anointed and officially presented as the congregation’s pastor.

In 2005, he moved to the town of Riverhead, acquiring his first church building. In October 2014, 10 acres of land were purchased for the construction of the current new church. In 2026, Pastor Roberto Elías and Daisy Salcedo will complete 33 years of pastoral service in New York. This highlights the founding and growth of the New Jerusalem Christian Church.
